EA have just released the multiplayer demo of Crysis 2. It’s a 1.6GB large file, which you can now directly from EA.

The demo features two maps and 2 game modes: Skyline, which takes place on rooftops, and Pier 17 which is a more open map located in Manhattan. Regardless of whether or not you like multiplayer, this provides an excellent opportunity to see how Crysis 2 will run on your PC, with Crysis being notorious for bringing down even the mightiest computer of its time.

If you’re still reading this, rather than having rushed off to the Demo, please let us know how it runs and what your exact spec is!

  1. The only problem with this demo is, because it is a port from the XBOX 360 version, It is kinda buggy with the menus and the likes, you go to click a button to find you clicked the one underneath it, It does get kind of annying at times, also another thing is the server browser, if a game is in progress (no matter how many people are in the server) you may be thrown into a lobby, to wait for that game to finish, this could get annoying for some, it did to me last night as every single server I tried to threw me into the lobby, I was in a squad with a friend, so do not know whether it was due to that.

  2. @MGSdude – how did it run on your machine, and what is your exact spec?

Let’s hope they polish those menus as nothing is more annoying than a straight console port…

  3. Intel pentium dual core running @ 3GHZ
4 gig of ram and a Asus Nvidia GTX 295
    with windows 7

  4. It ran perfectly fine on my computer, graphics were very smooth so cannot argue with that, crysis 2 as not as hungry as its predecessor graphics wise, so I wasnt worried about my computer blowing up in my face.
